Meet The Teacher: ROOPA MATH Roopa Math is Bangal Meet The Teacher: ROOPA MATHRoopa Math is Bangalore’s longest continuously teaching Tango teacher and is widely regarded as the most technically accomplished instructor in India.Her dance background spans over 20 years, beginning with classical Bharatnatyam in childhood and expanding into Salsa and Latin styles in 2006 before dedicating her focus to authentic Argentine Tango. She consistently updates her knowledge by traveling globally and returning to Buenos Aires regularly to study under master teachers and dance in traditional milongas. Her extensive training directly at the source has been actively shaping the local dance community since 2012.Her classes bridge a highly analytical mindset with an intuitive feel for the dance. As aa embedded software engineer, Roopa brings rare clarity to the floor by applying physics, logic, and body mechanics directly to dance structure. This structured approach strips away the confusion and fear often associated with the art form, breaking down complex concepts into simple, accessible steps for absolute beginners.Her work extends far beyond the classroom to build the city's social dancing culture.
